About our project
We are a small family farm and civic association located near the town of Nová Baňa, Slovakia, in a beautiful and quiet natural area of central Slovakia, perfect for hiking, nature lovers, and peaceful countryside life.
Our place is focused on creating a safe, joyful, and meaningful environment for families with children. People come here to relax, connect with nature, and experience simple farm life.
What makes our project special is the combination of a traditional farm with educational and experiential activities. We organize workshops for children, creative activities, and also run a relaxation room where children learn techniques for calming down, managing stress, and supporting their emotional well-being.
Who we are
We are a small family running this project with love and enthusiasm. As a civic association, our goal is to support children, families, and community well-being.
We enjoy meeting new people, sharing experiences, and creating a friendly, respectful, and open atmosphere.

Cultural exchange
We believe that cultural exchange is one of the most valuable parts of this experience.
At our farm, Workawayers become part of our daily life. We often spend time together – whether it’s working, sharing meals, or relaxing in the evening. When we have visiting families or community events, there is also an opportunity to meet local people and experience the local atmosphere.
We enjoy cooking together, sharing stories, traditions, and learning about different cultures. It’s not just about helping, but about connection and mutual inspiration.

We offer a comfortable and clean apartment in a peaceful farm environment.
Workawayers will stay in a private apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom, providing a high level of comfort and privacy. The space is suitable for up to 5 people and includes everything needed for a pleasant stay. Bed linen is provided.
Our farm is located in nature, so you can enjoy quiet surroundings, fresh air, and a relaxing atmosphere after a day of activities.
Food
We provide ingredients for meals, and Workawayers can prepare their own food in the apartment kitchen.
We also often cook together and share meals, which creates a nice opportunity to share food, recipes, and cultures.

In your free time, you can enjoy the beautiful nature around our farm. The area is perfect for hiking, walking, or simply relaxing in a peaceful countryside setting.
Nearby attractions include:
Ski centrum Drozdovo (great for skiing in winter and hiking in summer)
a nearby lookout tower with beautiful views of the surroundings
Tajch lake (3 km) for swimming and relaxing
Zámčisko (Nová Baňa castle ruins) (5.1 km)
the Mining Museum in Nová Baňa
Starohutský waterfall – a popular natural spot for trips
Public transport is limited in our area, but it is possible to take a taxi to the town, which is about 10 minutes away by car.
We are happy to help with basic orientation when you arrive.
Our lifestyle is friendly, respectful, and connected to nature. We appreciate open communication, reliability, and a positive attitude. We are not a strict place, but we value mutual respect, helping each other, and keeping shared spaces clean and tidy.
We prefer non-smokers or smoking only outside.
This place is ideal for people who enjoy a calm environment, like animals and children, and are happy to be part of a small community project.
