 - Description- Apply for 2025 
 We are a retired couple from the UK and have three small traditional houses and one apartment in a stunning location on the Silver Coast overlooking the tidal Obidos lagoon – one of the most beautiful locations on the western Portuguese coast. Require help with maintenance of our houses and gardens, which are set in almost two acres of hillside. Our location is rural. Own transport a bonus.

 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- Opportunity to spend time in our stunning location in an Eco Zone and experience Portuguese culture.

 Houses: Minor repairs and painting
 General Maintenance
 Cleaning
 Garden: ground clearing, digging, planting and strimming….understanding of and competence with a petrol driven strimmer is more than useful. Pruning of Bushes and Trees
 Houses: Preparation and painting walls both internal and external. DIY skills. Cleaning.
 Up to 5 hours per day....Monday through to Friday.
 - Languages spoken- English: Intermediate 
 - Accommodation- Fully equipped old Farm House. Upstairs: Large Bedroom with Kingsize Bed and Ensuite Shower Room. Second Bedroom off this main bedroom with Double Bed. Downstairs: Private Bedroom with Double Bed and Bathroom across corridor. Kitchen, Dining Room and Sitting Room. Private Terrace with BBQ. 
 Suitable for 2x Couples who would share Kitchen, Dining and Sitting Rooms. Must be over the age of 20.
 Self catering with food provided…please tell us your dietary needs or any special requirements before arrival
 - What else ...- We are near the small village of Nadadouro – approx 1.5 km away and around 4km from the small resort of Foz do Arelho where there are bars (some late night), restaurants small shops and a bank together with a stunning beach where the lagoon meets the ocean. At Foz do Arelho the gentle protected lagoon side is perfect for windsurfing/sun bathing with the contrasting wild Atlantic on the other side providing excellent surfing…..for strong/experienced swimmers only. 
 There is small sailing club offering windsurfing/sailing within walking distance. The part of the tidal lagoon we overlook is a wonderful location for birdwatching…with many wading birds and flamingos later in the summer months. We are surrounded by a rural landscape with footpaths and opportunities for walking and photography.
 The main town of Caldas da Rainha is about 7 km away and served by a limited bus service from Nadadouro. Caldas da Rainha is a market town with history.

First of all the hosts Lin and Harry were great. Sadly we couldn't spend a lot of time with Harry as he had to work away but we managed a few drinks on the first day we were there before he left. Lin was outstanding. We felt so welcome at all times. Incredibly friendly and easy to talk to.… read more
