    What else ...

We are near the small village of Nadadouro – approx 1.5 km away and around 4km from the small resort of Foz do Arelho where there are bars (some late night), restaurants small shops and a bank together with a stunning beach where the lagoon meets the ocean. At Foz do Arelho the gentle protected lagoon side is perfect for windsurfing/sun bathing with the contrasting wild Atlantic on the other side providing excellent surfing…..for strong/experienced swimmers only.
There is small sailing club offering windsurfing/sailing within walking distance. The part of the tidal lagoon we overlook is a wonderful location for birdwatching…with many wading birds and flamingos later in the summer months. We are surrounded by a rural landscape with footpaths and opportunities for walking and photography.
The main town of Caldas da Rainha is about 7 km away and served by a limited bus service from Nadadouro. Caldas da Rainha is a market town with history.
