Description
A private residence with signficant history. Originally built and completed as a wedding present in 1887. ( yes, a wedding present). Surrounded by large lawns and gardens it is a unique home with considerable historical significance.

This is probably the South Island's most historic residence . Built over three years from 1884 to 1887, The Governors of NZ where here in the early 1900's . Lots of interesting history is attached to this property. Large garden areas to walk about, very peaceful ,special place.

Help
Lawns and some light gardening, sweeping the drive etc, odd tasks in and around the house , housework as may be required from time to time....maybe walk the dog too.
Zero help at all is required at or daring an event...nor bed and breakfast operations for that matter.
I have full time live in / on site help for the latter. -

Take time out to visit Timaru, the beach and Caroline Bay , Timaru is just 10 minutes away...see the penguins!.., take the drive to Lake Tekapo , Mt Cook and the lakes....an easy drive

Space for parking camper vans
Always something to do here..gardens, mowing and assist with house work . You stay in the house , have your own bedroom , own bathroom too. If you are travelling and want a break from living in a Camper Van come and stay for a while. Town and the beach are just 15 minutes away, Tekapo , mountains and Lakes are an easy drive.

Luna stayed with us for not just one but on two seperate terms .Highly recommended to all!
Outside tasks were different characters and we enjoyed it a lot.
