An Historic house just a few minutes into Timaru
It is peaceful, surrounded by lawns and gardens. Helping in gardens.,lawn etc and some house tasks ,help out here and there in the mornings whch means that you have lots of free time for yourselves..

This is probably the South Island's most historic home and one of the oldest. Built 1884 to 1887, The Governor of NZ resided here in the early 1900's . A great amount of interesting NZ history attached to this property. Lots of land to walk about, very peaceful , a special place.

Lawns and some light gardening, sweeping the driv etc, odd tasks in and around the house as may be required from time to time....maybe walk the dog too.

Take time out to visit Timaru, the beach and Caroline Bay , Timaru is just 10 minutes away...see the penguins!.., take a trip to Tekapo , Mt Cook and the lakes....an easy drive

Always something to do here..gardens, mowing and assist with some cleaning at times. Choice of staying in the house or in one of the self contained 2 bedroom units behind. If you are travelling and want break from living in a Camper Van then maybe you should come and stay for a while. Town and the beach are 15 minutes away, Tekapo and Lakes are an easy drive.

The house is amazing, full of history and really beautiful.
Robert is a excellent host, very flexible a extremely kind to us.
We left two days ago and we already miss that place (and off course, we miss the dogs).
I hope to see Robert again and visit is wonderful… read more
