Hi there,
Thank you so much for visiting my profile!
My name is Laura and I live alone on a beautiful, bucolic family home in the North-West of Italy, a very rural part of the Country. I live alone with my inseparable dog, Plum.
I am a vegetarian, and I mostly live off locally sourced products.
I would really appreciate some help with my garden, as it is a very modest size.
My place has lots of hedges that need to occasional trim, I can do that myself but some help is always appreciated.
I also have lots of fruit trees, and I love to make jam. I thought it’d be nice to make some jam together.
The family home needs some TLC, sometimes there might be little creative jobs that need doing, for example painting some walls, sanding and painting chairs or tables. I do not own a business, it’s the just the farm, the nature, and myself.
Despite my age, I am a very energetic and eclectic person, I think the magic of growing in the countryside made me the person I am today.
There are many green areas to relax and read a good book, both in front and in the back garden.
All I really need is for someone to help me for of a maximum of 5 hours per day (I am not very strict!), for 5 days a week. There are lots of beautiful and quaint places to visit on the weekend. Piacenza, the main city, is a very handy location to reach beautiful cities you can visit on you time off (Milan, Bologna, Genoa, Florence for example).
You would be staying in your own independent house. You can arrange your own breakfast, but I would usually like to have lunch and dinner together. I am a very good cook, I can make lovely meals out of very simple things.

I live in what Hemingway described as 'The Most Beautiful Valley in the World'. All the food I make is locally sourced, and sometimes the neighbours bring their delicious fresh eggs. I would love my volunteers to experience a little slice of Italian countryside life.
