  🏡 House & Pet Sitting in the Heart of Salento – Southern Italy
  
  Hi, my name is Daniele. I live in a beautiful house in the countryside near Ugento, in the Salento peninsula (Puglia, southern Italy), one of the most authentic and unspoiled corners of the Mediterranean. The house sits among olive trees and has a big garden with a variety of fruit trees.
  
  It is 4 km from the Ionian Sea and some stunning, crystal-clear beaches that, by October, are blissfully quiet and all yours to enjoy.
  
  🐾 What I need
  
  I'm planning to be away from home for a few months starting in October 2026, and I'm looking for a reliable, animal-loving person (or couple) to stay at the house and take care of three dogs. The ideal helper would:
  
  - Live in the house full-time during my absence
  - Feed and keep company with my three dogs
  - Keep an eye on the property and the garden
  - Do light maintenance of the outdoor spaces (watering, tidying)
  
  No special skills are required, just genuine love for animals, a sense of responsibility, and an appreciation for a slower, nature-connected lifestyle.
  
  🌿 What you get in return
  
  In exchange, you'll have a comfortable home all to yourself in one of Italy's most beautiful regions. October in Salento is magical, warm sunny days, empty beaches, local festivals, incredible food and wine, and none of the summer crowds. It's a wonderful base for exploring the area, learning about rural life, and simply slowing down.
