Description
Kia ora!
After years of being a big city dweller, I've spent the last six up here in paradise - 90 mins from Auckland. I need support with sorting out gardening, landscaping, tree pruning and some minor building / carpentry things. You'll have a cute (but basic) caravan to sleep in, gorgeous quiet space in nature, a (shared with us) kitchen to cook whatever you love, kayaks, bush walks near by, all the lovely things to enjoy! Right now we are wanting a some physically fit capable people to help us do a garden / forest working bee before the spring!Types of help and learning opportunities

There are great beaches near by, Pahi is a little fishing village so if you're into fishing it will be heaven, and Kauri bush walks are beautiful. While of course absolutely everyone is welcome, this is an LGBTQIA+ friendly home.
Help
As I mentioned, I'm busy working just now - so need help from a few motivated people, with things like gardening, spring cleaning, tree pruning, landscaping, minor building projects / renovations, and fixing things.
Stays of 4 days minimum ideally, and 10 days max usually (can be flexible when its the right fit). Looking for people who are motivated and independent, who are ok with me being busy and not having time to hang out right now, and who have good physical skills.Languages spoken

Your sleeping accomodation is in a cute simple caravan overlooking forest and the Kaipara harbour - next to the main house - but otherwise you can share the facilities in the small but very cute house I live in with my partner (kitchen, bathroom etc). Note there is a composting loo, but it is boujie and has no smell. There are kayaks for going on the water, and the driveway goes down to the sea. Note some of the pics are from our larger house (where someone else now lives) but the colours and vibes in our new small home are the same.
What else ...
It would definitely be best if you have a car because we’re out of town, but if not I may be able to collect you from the Brynderwyn turn off bus stop 20 mins from here.
There’s a small village with a cute cafe and farmers markets etc 6 mins drive from here. We’re also close to lots of great beaches and some of the most ancient Kauri forests in Aotearoa.
In terms of what to do on your time off, there’s amazing natural places to explore near here. The Kaipara Harbour where we are is full of magical places to explore, but we’re also half way between the big natural, cultural and historic attractions of both east and west coast (30 mins drive in either direction). There are some boutique gallery / vineyard towns within an easy drive which are nice for a day trip too if that’s your thing. We are 90 mins from central Auckland - but also, this place here where we live and work, is really great for creativity, so if you’re chipping away at writing your novel or making music - it’s a heavenly spot to just hoole up and do that too.
If this sounds like you, send me an email telling me about yourselves, and what your skills are. Also let me know how long you’d want to stay for and any questions you have for me - I'll do my best to answer promptly :)
Cheers,
