We're Joram and Eliane, a couple from Belgium living permanently in the South-West of France with our 3 children. We run a small-scale holiday domain with a few holiday homes and a small campsite. We have chickens, 3 sheep and 2 dogs. We're looking for a house- and petsitter when we go on holiday ourselves or when we go on a family visit to Belgium. We're situated in the countryside, remote but certainly not secluded. You can go for beautiful walks, right from your doorstep. Or visit one of the beautiful little villages or castles around us. We're at the border of the "Périgord Noir", where there are some world-renowned sites to visit. Most of all, we're looking for someone who can enjoy country life, who is practical and responsible. If you would housesit in the colder months, you must be able to handle a wood-burning stove. And the most important asset: be a dog lover! Our dogs are the ones who need the most attention when we're away ;) We offer a very cosy and spacious house with all modern comfort. It's perfect for those who want to enjoy the nature, peace and beauty of South-West France! We're open to singles, couples, friends, families, vanlifers, you name it.

We're at the countryside, so perfect for someone who loves animals, nature, tranquility. But you will be immersed in history here as well, some of our buildings are centuries old and our region is known for it's historical sites.

We have chickens, 3 sheep and 2 dogs. The chickens and sheep do not ask for a lot: the chickens need to be locked up at night, given water and food if needed, collect their eggs, etc. Our dogs are the ones who need the most attention when we're away. They sleep inside at night, so they need to be released in the morning and taken inside in the evening. They roam free on the terrain during the day, but our youngest dog in particular still needs a walk in the morning (she won't say no to more walks!).
As we have a large terrain with a lot of buildings, it's necessary to do a little "walk-round" from time to time to check that everything is okay (no sudden leaks, no open doors, etc). We do not rent out the holiday homes to paying customers when we're away, so you're not expected to resolve any customer-related issues;)
