    Description

Hello there, my name's Aoife and I'm lucky and grateful to have bought a house this year. And there's plenty to do! I'm looking for a variety of workaway people to help me here on the beautiful west coast of Ireland over the summer! I'll list a number of activities I'm hoping to do but what can you do here?

There's plenty of hiking here at the edge of the burren, cliff jumping, snorkeling, diving, swimming, surfing, cycling, pubs.... A host of things to see and do within a 10 minute drive. I'm halfway between Kilfenora town (musical town) and Lisdoonvarna (matchmaking) town which you can access by a bike I can lend you here or if you have a car that would be even better.

For late June early July (June 26th-16th July) I'm basically looking for a house sitter and pet minder. I have two lovely goats Fraoch and Coll who are free roaming around the back here. They get fed a scoop of grain a day each get fresh water. Super easy to do! I will be working on Inis Siar for 3 weeks but am looking for a lovely person or couple to keep an eye on them. If there was anything else you wanted to help out with that'd be great but not necessary!
From July 16th to July 31st I'm looking for a person or a couple to help with a variety of things, see below please.

Please note: A car is essential in the west of Ireland, you will only be considered if you have a car as public transport is not frequent or on time 😅

You'll learn about some of our local goats which are used to produce St.Tolas cheese, I've two rescues.
You can learn Irish if you want to as I'm a local Irish language teacher.
Hopefully we'll be planting some native trees of Ireland if I can set up a fence to keep the goats away.
Traditional Irish music in the local towns of Doolin (15mins) and Kilfenora (5mins)
If you're here in late August we have our matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna.

A deep clean of the house ( I have lots of spidery friends)
    Power washing the outside walls
    Painting inside and outside
    Tidying out the garage
Any creative eyes who are into repurposing furniture or creative projects are super welcome!
    Small native tree planting
    Hanging curtains
    Building a cob oven
Maybe building a poly tunnel ( wish list project, I need to source the materials)
If anyone has any electrician qualifications I'm also happy to pay for a few electrical jobs to be done!

Work wise I'm happy to do a bit of work from Monday-Friday and then chill out on Saturday and Sunday? 4 hours a day would be great and if you'd be keen to divy it up whatever way I'm amenable to that! I've done workaway plenty of times and loved to have the flexibility to go away for a few days!

Hey all, I'm a modern and not so modern languages teacher in our local secondary school. I teach German and our native Irish language. I studied both as well as Japanese and Spanish too. Unfortunately my Japanese is disappearing from lack of use but I still tutor Spanish! If you'd like to practice or learn any of those languages I'm happy to spend some time doing that!
