    Description

    Hi everyone !

My name is Ahmad Al Jamal from Wadi Rum Village that is located at the heart of the wonderful Wadi Rum protected area in Jordan. We are living here with my family for many generations. For many years, I used to breed camels and train them for race in parallel to work in tourism in the desert. Recently, I opened my own camp in Wadi Rum desert where visitors usually spend few nights and go on tours during the day to enjoy the landscape. As it is the beginning of my project, there is a lot to do in order to develop my touristic activities mostly about social media and communication.

During your stay, you will be in total immersion inside the Bedouin culture, close to nature and people. I will introduce you to my friends and my family, so you can learn a lot about traditional Bedouin culture. You will have the opportunity to experience nights under Bedouin tents, discover traditional food and speak with a lot of different people that are living here for generations. As I'm still working with camels, I can teach you about how to take care of them and you will be able to follow me during my work with camels. If you wish so, I can teach you some basic Arabic language in exchange of helping me to improve my English.
