We are a family of three, Steven, Jennie & our son Theo (13). Living in the small market town of East Grinstead, West Sussex. In easy reach if both London & Brighton.
We live in a lovely period house which sits within an 11 acre estate of 31 houses which was once a Convent. It’s facilities include a heated outdoor pool and tennis courts and lots of lovely landscapes grounds.
Our house was once the hospital wing of the Convent and has a large 100m garden which would have once provided the convent with food.
Our house sits within a beautiful location of historical significance. We have hosted au pairs in the past and are used to providing language and cultural support to our visitors. We love the area & surronding countryside in which we live in and are keen to promote the local area with its many National Trust properties and outstanding countryside.
Gardening help required- We have a large established garden that has many established tress and borders that we struggle to keep on top off.
A private bedroom within our four roomed house. Food would be shared with the family wherever possible as a key part of our offer is to integrate with the family and learn from each other.
Our town boasts a cinema, theatre and sports centre all within a 5 minute walk. Local shops have a great variety of independent stores boosted by some great coffee shops.
Local tourist spots include the amazing landscape of Ashdown forest (birth place of Winnie the Pooh) , Standen house (art & crafts house) , Chartwell house (Winston Churchill’s home), Sheffield Park & the historic steam bluebell railway.
London and it’s many tourist attractions are 1 hour away and the sussex coast 1 hours drive away.
