  Description

  We are a Finnish family with two children, aged 3 and 13, living in Turin, Northern Italy. We are looking for a kind, reliable and proactive au pair with some childcare experience to help our daily life run smoothly. We speak Finnish among us, but are fluent (not the 3y old!) in English, Italian, French and manage some Spanish and very basic German. Obviously for courtesy we would try to speak one of the languages you speak when you are present. Our life is quite regular with breakfast, school/work, hobbies/sports, dinner during the week, seeing friends and occasional travelling during the weekends. Your main responsibility would be caring for the 3-year-old in the mornings and after school. Ideally, you would also enjoy cooking (I am terrible at cooking...) and helping with light household tasks, such as putting the kitchen in order, tidying toys and clothes, hanging laundry and grocery shopping. I work full-time with some occasional travelling and kids do get sick etc. so some flexibility would be required, however, you would have your own room and privacy and an agreed max. number of hours of work that would be respected. Ideally you would feel part of the family, we could build a trustful relationship and enjoy our time together. My daughter (13y) is an adorable adolescent (and what comes with that :-)), my son (3y) is a "happy good fellow" who silently tries to climb out from the window (3rd floor!) and goes on hugging people he does not know. We live in the centre of the city in a dynamic and multi-ethnic neighbourhood.
