    Description

    Hi all, we're Caroline (34) and Joren (33), a Belgian couple who moved permanently to the beautiful province of Värmland in south Sweden in 2023. Together with our 2 fur babies, Franco and Maestro, we live in a typical Swedish wooden house, surrounded by 50 hectares of forest.

    We aspire to become self-sufficient on our little slice of paradise, growing veggies, chopping our own firewood and keeping a few farm animals. This summer we extended our menagerie with 3 sweet hens, called Paulette, Claudette and Omelette, and our glorious rooster, Fred.

    In december, we're travelling to Belgium for 2 week to celebrate Christmas and New Year with our friends and family. That's why we're looking for caring petsitters to look after our house and animals during that period. We still have to book our flights, so we're quite flexible regarding the exact dates.

    Looking after our cats, chickens and house while we are away. The cats need feeding 2 a day and fresh water. The chickens just need feeding and fresh water in the morning, and a weekly cleaning of their coop.

Our home has all the modern facilities you need: bathroom with hot shower, 2 separate toilets, fully-equipped kitchen, wood stove, living room with television, a large garden and 50 hectares of private forest.

    What else ...

    We have two cars which you are welcome to use. Shops, restaurants, swimming pool, etc. are ca. 15 minutes by car. Oslo is ca. 2 hours driving and Karlstad a bit over an hour. The area is especially known for its beautiful nature, forests and lakes. This is a perfect place for people who'd like to find some peace and quiet and escape the hectic world for a while.
