Description
Hello! We are a small family of three Charlotte (28), Steven (30) and our beutiful daughter (11 month). Before we moved to Sweden, nearly 3 years ago, did we also one year volunteering in Sweden. Now we thought it would be nice to prove also to be a host for others. Surrounded by beautiful swimming lakes and forests, we live in a cosy village called Vissefjärda in southern Sweden. The historic towns of Kalmar, Karlskrona and Växjö are about 45-60 minutes away by train or car.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be unavailable from 1 to 19 April as we will be travelling.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are very interested in learning about other cultures and enjoy talking about German and Swedish culture, as we emigrated 3 years ago after being Workawayers ourselves. Steven and I would be delighted to show you around the area and share our experiences of growing vegetables, baking and cooking. We would love to share recipes and experiences with you, so we hope to learn from you too. As Steven is a craftsman, you will also have the opportunity to learn some craft skills from him if you wish.

Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
As caring for our baby takes up a lot of time, we would be very grateful for help with household chores, cooking and gardening. We will do things together, but it is also good if you can work by yourself. There is a lot to explore in the area in your free time. You can borrow a bicycle, explore the towns, visit second-hand shops and much more. We have lots of recommendations.

Accommodation
You will sleep in your own small room in our house. Please bear in mind that our baby cries from time to time. However, our previous guests have slept well here.
Most of the time we eat together and hope you can help us with the cooking.
Eating together is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas. That's why we would like to eat most meals with you. We have experience in vegetarian cooking, but if you are vegan, you would cook and we would buy the food. If you are a creative hobby chef, we would be glad to welcome you.
What else ...
Please be aware that we only host Workawayers who do not smoke or use drugs.
Vegetarians and vegans are welcome, but cooking would mainly be your responsibility.
