We are a family of two single mothers with children. We have a gorgeous house with a cozy slow combustion fire, bordering the Blue Mts National Park. We are 2 minutes walk from the Minehaha Reserve, with large flat swimming pools leading to a cascading waterfall with a swimming hole. We love to share meals, and cater for vegetarians and vegans, as well as omnivores. We are both artists and draw, paint and play music. We work on projects during the day and often have dinners and parties with friends at night.

Our whole family loves art, and we have many artists and musicians come to stay. We share meals and discussions on many topics. We have a library of over 1000 books covering art, history, and philosophy, among other things. Minehaha Reserve is a sacred Aboriginal site, and was the birthing place for the local Darug and Gundangara people. We have 32 species of native birds on our property, as well as many possums and other marsupials.
We usually have several projects going, for example at the moment we are building a wood-fired hot-tub, so any building experience is appreciated. The garden is mostly native, and we are developing a veggie and herb garden. There is always help needed in the kitchen, with cooking and cleaning.
We will accommodate you in a freestanding cabin on the back of our property. It is a small, simple room, surrounded by bush and grasslands. You will have full use of the house, including kitchen, laundry and a bathroom with a deep, luxurious bath. We will provide food for 3 meals and tea and coffee. Everyone pitches in with cooking and cleaning the kitchen.
Katoomba is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Southern Hemisphere. It is famous for the Three Sisters lookout, but there are many stunning lookouts and walks into the valley and along the cliffs. There are several backpacker hostels, and the local nightlife is rich with live music and many restaurants and cafes. There is a bus every hour from our home into town (about 20 minute ride).
