Description
Hello travelers!
We are Amy and Patrick. Together with the help of our kids, dogs, family, friends and Kristen, we are working to transform our largely undeveloped off-grid property into a homestead. We are in the beginning stages of restoring old structures and planning out how to use to space to begin gardens and energy production.
We host workawayers from all over the world to be a part of our farm stay and watch our new landscape be molded and transformed into something spectacular.Types of help and learning opportunities

Workaways are part of developing an off-grid property and will have opportunity to learn homesteading skills. We hope to improve our gardens, raise bees and chickens, and are open to other suggestions. We look forward to learning from workawayers input in these areas as they bring their own cultural knowledge of food and gardening and homesteading.
We accept workawayers to be a part of our family and experience the ways we enjoy Northern Ontario including stargazing away from city lights, learning about berry and mushroom picking, and trips to nearby water sources for swimming.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are looking for flexible and adaptable workawayers to help us develop our little personal homestead. Everything we grow is put to use in our kitchen or stored for the winter. Tasks include gardening, harvesting, landscaping, and wood gathering to keep warm in the winter.
