Description
Helping out at this agriculture project brings you experiences about sustainable lifestyle, organic farming and CSA (community supported agriculture).
Kristel and Patrick and their little children moved to the region 2015 and founded a little paradise. Thats why the name of the projekt is a mixture of the words "Paradies" (paradise) and the vegetable "Radieschen" (radish).
Part of the paradise is the sweet family house, self-renovated by the former architect couple, and 3,6 hectars of land. Between old fruit trees and grassland Kristel and Patrick grow 80 different kinds of vegetables for 70 households. These households represent the community, that supports the farm work. By paying all costs of the vegetable production while receiving the whole harvest, these households share the benefits, risks and responsibilty with Kristel and Patrick. This CSA concept helps diverse farms to survive without selling their products for low prices in the free market. Its revolutionary in a beautiful way!
Kristel and Patrick write in their homepage: " Its our goal to grow vegetables while respecting the needs of our planet, the plants, animals and humans. Diverse vegetables for diverse humans! The development of our different vegetable varieties is oriented on the farm work proceeding and also on what makes us smile."
The multicultural family provides a warm-hearted, open-minded atmosphere. Little Charlotte (*️️️️️️️️️️️️2018) is supporting the atmosphere with her smiles, while Fridolin (*️️️️️️️️️️️️2012) and Henriette (*️️️️️️️️️️️️2014) are already taking part by being litte farmers and caring for the sheep, ducks, cats and hens.Types of help and learning opportunities

Depending on the time of the year, Kristel and Patrick are happy about helping hands in for example planting the veggie plants in the fields, weeding, harvesting (twice a week), building up things,... Also the other house-around things to be done: children care, cooking, ...

Close to the southern Burgenland and near the border triangle Slovenia-Hungary-Austria, there are many great bike paths through the rolling hills and along the Raab.
The Riegersburg is about 1.5 hours walk.
The little paradise is well connected with other exciting projects nearby that can be visited, for example the large housing project Cambium in Fehring and other land projects.A little more information
