Description
Hi, Im a mum to two youngsters (15,17) and a cat named Gizmo. I love to welcome you to our house and our family.
When staying with us, you'll blend in as a friend or familymember.
The family is me,
My son (15, who most likely like to live in his own cave/bedroom and who is 50% at the time at my place, and the other at his dads) and my daughter, 17, who lives with her dad and comes popping in now and then. And ofcourse my king of the castle; Gizmo. The royal thick fat fluffy hairball.
Want to come helping me/us out?
You are warmly welcomed. You’ll be Gizmo’s servant during your stay.🐈
We have awesome neighbours & friends and my boyfriend living in his own house, down the street.
Things to do around the house?
Mostly general maintanace like sanding, painting, woodworking, cleaning, organizing and you can help me with cooking. We have plenty unfinished DIY projects as wel.
we love to recycle stuff.
We live a 5 minutes walk from the forest, and the beautiful moor. You can walk and enjoy nature at its best. It is a 20 min. cardrive to the city of Eindhoven.
Im a social cultural worker and a (vegan) chef with my own company. At the moment I’m working on renovating my own workspace/restaurant-like place and I do own a foodtruck as well.
In the past people helped me a lot in the kitchen and with my company and foodtruck but due to work/private mixup nowadays we try to focus on all other small things in and around the house, or make clear arrangements about the work in advance. I would love to give you a wide range of different options to choose from.
I work on different locations and the kids are used to co-parenting so they are not allways with me, as I wrote earlier. Therefore you have to keep in mind that you allso are in the home alone now and then when I’m off to work.
Once a month I host a dinner at my place to connect people and let them meet vegan foods. Thats always a joy with a house full of people to talk to and to get to know our culture from the inside out.
In my household there is above average cooking. If you want me to teach you some vegan cookingtricks, just say so.
We live with a budget that is paltry. So we can’t spoil you rotten, but love to have you in our family. I do provide you food & drinks and dinners are shared. (need dairy products? that’s your own costs) Contribution to the daily grind is a must;; Everyone shares cooking, wiping down the table, vacume clean, shopping and cleaning like a normal family. (Not part of the Workaway hours.) We hope you to be pro active. So your stay does benefit both of us.
So, basicly we are looking for trustworthy, motivated Workawayers that are fun & with initiative, to share our projects, dreams meals and home with.
So please send us a personal email/apply that is written for us instead of a basic story! We don’t want you to be ‘just’ a workaway, so don’t treat us as ‘just’ a family or place to sleep (that is where a hotel is 4). Connect, and you have a family to come back to for the rest of your traveling-life.
Important;
Due to some family issues, I’m not allways able to host guys/male workaways,
Im sorry for that. But you can allways send an apply if you think you’ll firming the family.
extra;
If you stay with us, it would make us happy if you contribute to our world travel receipy book. Just bring your own favourite vegetarian or vegan receipy to add to the book.
I'm planning on publish it in the future 😊
(So if you know how to help with that? We would be pleased)
Leaving a readingbook in your own language for the attic where you sleep, would be great to! There is a big pile of books to swop.
in 2024 ill throw a workaway party and invite all former workaways that stayed here - over, so you might be one of them!
We hope to have the book printed by that time!Types of help and learning opportunities
