Our garden skills, plants, canning, fermenting depending that moment what our garden gives us, maintenance skills.
Roms official skill is riding instructor so if it would fit, he has been working with horses all his life and is a certified international trainer. However our approach to horses changed drastically over the years towards natural way. Dog Psychology and communication, we can share that.
Help
We are looking for 1 or 2 people.
We have a vegetable garden, planted trees, made a greenhouse. Trying to grow some flowers too. Still adding.
We walk every morning with our dogs long or short. Your are welcome to come along.
Our 4 horses are between 25 and 2 years old.
They have open stables and go on the field every day. We work from the ground and some ridden when we have time. We have a round pen and riding arena.
To make a long story short, it is a great place to be but to keep it up would be great to have an extra pair of hands sometimes. If there is someone who could share our pleasure and burdens at times that would be a good thing.
You can help us with mucking out. Brushing the horses. If you have more experience with horses feel free to share that. Gardening, mowing. . Repairs of fence. Painting walls. Cooking if that interests you.
At the Moment April 2026 we are building a new green house you can help with that if that interests you.
We have written minimum 2 weeks but of course if there is no click between us feel free to go but hey we are looking forward to meet you !

Accommodation
We have a small caravan stationed. We can attach a floor and a big front tent, this makes a great place to stay. We stayed in it for a month before we could move into the house. We have plans this year 2026 to make a bathroom near the caravan. (You help us build it?)
WiFi is reaching the caravan. Planning to get Starlink asap to accept digital nomads !
You are also very welcome with your own caravan/ camper.
What else ...
It is very quiet here, so you have to like that.
You hear the birds and frogs. Less than 1 km from here is our tiny village with a bar and mini supermarket. Bigger towns with all utilities 25 minutes drive away. If you have a car you can do day trips to Lisbon, Coruche, Montemor or Evora.
On some days in the weekend there are markets for food and clothes. We can take you if we go. Behind our house you can go for endless walks, jogging, biking….
We eat meat. We offer 2 meals, big breakfast, a good warm lunch and in the evening you are welcome to prepare something.
We celebrate 420. We are not injected and are very much opposed to all that comes from that side. Freedom fighters welcome.
