Our house connects people from all walks to work together on technology and social impact projects.
Join us for 1 or 2 weeks. Each week we focus on a particular problem -- dysfunctional technology, remote working challenges, or social/sustainability issues. Your group will brainstorm solutions to the problem, then work towards a self-determined set of deliverables that help evaluate your solution. Deliverables can be: a website, an application, mockups, a video, a prototype, a market study, a crowd-funding campaign, a business plan.
You'll focus both on applying your own skills (i.e. brainstorming, leadership, communication, collaboration, research, arts, crafts, graphic design, 3d modelling, marketing, website developing, software, hardware) .. and developing new skills you don't yet have. Maybe your a designer and you'd like to learn a little bit about coding? Maybe your a coder and want to learn a little bit about marketing?
From workawayers, we are most interested in people ready to lead projects.
We're in Valencia, Spain through the end of March (and then: Morocco). You can join us for 5 or more days.

Travellers will improve their own professional skills, and learn new ones -- skills that make them both more employable, and more capable to sustain themselves independently (while continuing to travel the world, or back in their home city).
Travellers will experience neat hardware, software, and workshops relevant to ideation and rapid prototyping.
Travellers will gain experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team, including other internationals and local contributors.
Our aim is to leverage your existing skills.. and also enable you to learn new skills and relevant technologies that both immediately help the "problem" but also grow your confidence and future opportunities.
Skills needed include: brainstorming, leadership, communication, collaboration, research, arts, crafts, graphic design, 3d modelling, marketing, website developing, software, hardware. Out-of-the-box thinking is a huge plus.
Travellers will receive shared accommodation in a hostel-like environment. In some cases, they will live together in an apartment.
Meals are not included, but we often cook together (sharing the costs of ingredients).
