    Description

Hello there, my name is Pamela!

I first used Workaway last year while traveling through Europe, and it was truly one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. Before discovering Workaway, I used to arrange this type of exchange in the old-fashioned way, but once I found this platform, I decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Now I am back home in Costa Rica and would love to offer the same kind of fair exchange experience.

I can offer a very comfortable private Tinyhome in exchange for some help around the property. The help mainly includes deep cleaning, DIY projects, gardening, and general property maintenance.

Please note that some of the work can be physically demanding and hands-on. This may include carrying rocks, shoveling and moving dirt, deep cleaning, painting, small carpentry projects, cutting wood, gardening, and other practical tasks around the property. It can also be very hot weather, so it is important that you feel comfortable with outdoor work and some hard physical tasks.

The property is very small, but there are always little projects to improve and maintain the space.

    The room includes:
    • a double bed
    • air conditioning
    • access to a fully equipped kitchen
    • hot water shower
    • WiFi

There is also a really lovely garden, and we are within walking distance of Marina Ballena National Park, which makes it a beautiful place to stay and explore.

I require at least 3 hours of help per day, for 5 days, in exchange for 7 days of stay (5 days of work and 2 full free days to enjoy the area). There is no fixed schedule, as this exchange is based on trust and flexibility, but good communication is very important so we can coordinate which projects or cleaning tasks will be done each day.

Please note that food is not provided. Occasionally, I may offer some fresh snacks or small treats, but this should not be expected daily.

I would love to host someone who is mature, respectful, very clean, self-motivated, and creative — someone who can work independently as well as as part of a team, and who feels comfortable using very basic tools for small projects.

I would prefer someone who can stay for at least 5 to 7 days. The space is suitable for either one person or a couple.

Please Note, if you break or cost damages I will expect you to cover the cost of it.

And if you have read everything in my profile, please start your message with the word “Chuleta” so I know you have great attention to detail.

Looking forward to welcoming kind and lovely people into my home!
