We are in the process of building an off grid village. We are a group of families and single people between 25 and 52 years old who are building to live a dream beyond a 9 to five workday week, So we will be able to live on the land, run our own small businesses, grow our own food and host cultural, educational and natural building events.
We have yurts and temporary summer homes on the property.
We are building an earthship as a first real self sustainable home.
We are now looking for volunteers to help us continue build the Earthship starting May 15th 2019!
The earthships tire wall is now 7 courses high in most places. First thing in the spring will be the continuation of the tire wall up to 10 courses, further placement of insulation, adobe packout, bond beam,,,
followed by a workshop at the beginning of June for different earthship related elements, framing, greenhouse, roof, bottle walls,
more tasks to come in the area of carpentry, roofing, plastering, water catchment, over the whole summer

Living is rustic, but a great experience to what you are dealing with when you start the off grid experience, in the process of building a comfortable off grid home.
We have an outdoor shower, on a sunny day, which we have lots, water warms up by the sun.
Solar electricity is available to charge devices etc. Now we also have wifi internet access.
We welcome a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. A minimized use of any substances like alcohol, cigarettes, weed is expected.
If you have a car it is easier to get to the lake, and the nearby town, otherwise you drive with one of us.
We will do small excursions into the beauty of Manitoba, when we are not working. The close by town of Gimli is a fisher harbour of icelantic heritage and has lots to offer over the summer, live music, markets and the big lake is like an ocean.
