Description
Hello!
We are a very cheerful family of 4 – mom, dad and two boys age 5 and almost 4. We live in the suburbs of Poznań - one of the biggest cities in Poland. Dad works full time and mom, as of now, takes care of a house and the boys. We are a very active family – we spend a lot of time in nature, love going to the museums, take part in interesting workshops and other events. Our children do not go to the kindergarten so we have plenty of time to show them the world.
We love travelling, before the kids were born we visited a lot of countries in and outside Europe. We hardly ever stayed in hotels but rather in guesthouses where we had an opportunity to be around the locals and get to know the culture. We loved visiting little towns and remote places and villages which only few tourists visit. We have recently started taking kids on long-distance flights and the kids did very well, they seemed to be very interested in meeting new people and visiting new places (especially going hiking and swimming in waterfalls). So with this in mind, we would really like the boys to have an opportunity to interact with guests from other countries and, most importantly, practice English. This will also be a great experience for us because we enjoy talking about the culture, history of other countries and learning foreigners’ point of view on various matters. In my opinion, communication with our children will be easier because at some point we started speaking to them also in English. So the boys understand a lot in this language (but are not brave enough to say anything except a few words). They enjoy playing cardboard games, memory and a bit of piano (if you have any interesting board games you are very much welcome to bring them). We don’t have a TV set (it’s our choice not to have one) and we also don’t play video games. We adore spending time in nature (regardless of the weather), cherish the simple things, take pleasure in walking, riding bikes and doing crafts.Types of help and learning opportunities

We have a lot to offer: trips to interesting places, long talks about our culture, history and customs; accounts on our trips around the world; healthy food; nature walks and lots of kindness, warmth, hospitality and laughter!:))
Help
We can be flexible if it comes to working hours especially because our kids have some activities outside the home. We would like you to spend a couple of hours on talking/playing with kids in English (4-5 hours 5 days a week would be great). You could also help us with preparing meals (simple things like taking out the cutlery, plates etc) and this would also be great if you prepared a meal that you enjoy eating back at home. We would like to take you on a sighstseeing tour of Poznan. We can also plan other trips for example to museums, to interesting places outside of Poznan. As for weekends, you will be very much invited to join us in our activities or we can plan else something together.
As a part of our family you will be very much invited to share meals with us (that is breakfast, lunch and dinner). Just as we usually eat breakfast and dinner together, we're not always home at lunchtime. Then you will be able to reheat dinner made the previous day or simply use the ingredients we have to cook dinner yourself.
We would also be very happy if you cooked us some specialty of your national cuisine.Languages

What else ...
Poznań is an important cultural and business centre, and one of Poland's most populous regions:
There are many places worth visiting:
1. Old market square
2. Fara Church
3. Malta Lake
4. Poznan Cathedral of St Peter
5. Ostrow Tumski
6. Brama Poznania
7. Many parks and lakes nearby
A bus stop is 3-minute walk from our house and takes you directly to Poznan. We live 1km from the lake where you can swim, kayak and sail.
There is a little shopping centre 400 metres from our house (groceries, pharmacy etc).A little more information
