  Description

  We are a family run vegetable farm located in Brisco, B.C. We farm on just over 5 acres, and have several greenhouses which we grow vegetables in them as well. We sell our vegetables on our weekly delivery service to our communities, Golden and Invermere. We live near the Bugaboo provincial park, so if you love hiking and camping this is the perfect place to work.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We will train you how will do things on the farm and why, traditional farming methods learned from my father who started the farm. We implement new farming techniques and try to grow as organically and naturally as possible. You will do tasks directly with our family members, myself (Patty), Husband (Shawn) and Daughter (Cali).

  Help

  We need help with farming in the form of weeding, harvesting, and packaging vegetables. We have 2-3 days of harvesting produce for our delivery services, and then the other days will be spent pruning tomatoes/peppers, weeding, seeding and general farm clean up. There is opportunity to help run our farmers market stands if your interested in working with the public. We will also pay minimum wage, and provide housing.

  We have RV trailer (5th wheel) for living accommodations with an outdoor kitchen and outdoor bathroom (portapotty), shower is shared. We are working on fixing up a cabin.

  What else ...

  There is lots of lakes and the Columbia Wetlands are right in front of our farm so canoeing and fishing is a great time. We have a canoe and boat if they would like to go. Backcountry hiking and camping is great in our area as well. We are very close to Banff, Lake Louise and Kootaney National Parks. Our local towns are about an hour away, via car, Invermere and Golden. Shared shower/tub is the only thing shared.
