We provide opportunities for vacant land reuse along Peckham Street in Buffalo and in a rural area in erie county.
We view vacant space, and houses as a way to share knowledge about food production and creative building. We are poor, in a poor city in a poor neighborhood, but strive to enjoy our abundance with others. There's no shortage of sunlight in the summer, so we are generally working on projects in the area every day.
The garden has many daily responsibilities, including conversing with neighbors, watering, weeding, transplanting, seeding and fertilizing. We also have livestock in a rural setting.
We salvage building materials for small building projects such as a gazebo, park benches and animal housing. There are no shortages of walls and plenty of paint to brighten up the neighborhood.
There are several buildings we are working on ranging from bus stops to large houses.
Your help would be appreciated. We do a mix of creative and building activities in our own work days, and hope you can enjoy the same. You will have a good opportunity to get a feel for the different shades of the rust belt, and have easy access to the rest of the city. We have several bikes for use, cook daily, and have a place to stay, or get away, which ever you please.

Help with Computers/ Internet
We have worked as educators and can provide space for you to do your own creative projects. Help our neighborhood and you can live simple but free.
Gardening- There are several plots for vegetables and fruit trees. We also maintain a small nursery, street trees, and sidewalk "zen gardens".
Building - There is no shortage of building projects in our community. We offer apartments for rent and houses to own that need help with varying types of construction and brightening. There are also neighboring families that are in need of help. We are open to creative building projects: park benches, a treehouse, a materials garage, art, painting with clay, and tire-building.
Community Organizing - We would like to build on free-school learning opportunities and library building: tutoring, language-exchange, bike repair, music jams. If you are a teacher, we would be excited to empower you to teach what you love.
We are also building a workforce and land access through a land trust.
