Description
This is a brand new family run hostel in the heart of Bodrum, and as we are just getting started we need some help getting all the details of the hostel just right. We want our hostel to be eco-friendly with a low carbon footprint. A lot of our furniture is recycled, we try and reduce waste as much as possible and all of the food we serve is locally sourced and free range. We eventually want to give yoga lessons at the hostel by converting one of the dorms into a studio, so we will need help with this as well as some basic wood painting and other small touches. The team currently consists of the owner (Sabahat), her daughter and her niece.

Our hostel is full of travellers from all over the world, so in staying here you would get to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds as well as getting to stay with a Turkish family and learning all about turkish culture, and getting travel advice.
Help
At the moment we need someone who is comfortable helping with the day to day running of the hostel. Someone to interact with customers, check in newcomers when the owner has other jobs to do around the hostel. The hostel needs to be cleaned daily (changing sheets, sweeping floors, cleaning bathrooms etc), and this wouldn't be your main job but help with this is also necessary, so someone clean with a good attention to detail who is not afraid to put in some hard work would be preferred. One of the dorms is going to be turned into a yoga studio, so it would be great to get started by putting in wooden floors here. We would also appreciate any in-depth knowledge about making the hostel more eco-friendly at a low cost. As a new hostel we are also always looking for some new ways to advertise - so if you have a prominent travel blog, or are good with photography/filming and could help us with this that would be great too. Peak season here is pretty much over so you can expect a quiet but friendly atmosphere for the new few months.

As we are a hostel, there are a range of different rooms but you would most likely be staying in one of the dorms - most of which are equipped with air con. All dorms have an en suite bathroom and range in size from 4 to 8 beds.
There is a kitchenette at the hostel which guests are free to use and the fridge and you can make your own food there. What else ...
We are 100m away from the beach, and also from the main bus station in Bodrum and are able to offer plenty of advice on the kind of things you can do here. There are boat trips, watersport activities, museums, heritage sites, lovely shops and so much more. We're also a few minutes away from "Bar St" which is where all the late night fun happens, so there are plenty of options, no matter what your interests are.
