Description
My name is Madalena, I am passionate about taking care of the land, people and cooperative projects with focus, passion and pleasure. I live on a 2ha plot of land, 8 people from my family live here. It is a space that receives an education project. We have a dog, chickens and goats. A wood oven, a space for group dynamics, living spaces and workspaces.
We have a vegetable garden, some baby fruit trees and many woodland trees!
We live 1km from the city of Caldas da Rainha, we have some bicycles that can be used to transport to the city. We live a few kilometers from some of the best beaches in the country. Foz do Arelho Peniche and Baleal. And we gather friends and family with some regularity in this space, which can be a good opportunity to meet people and get to know the Portuguese culture. We are a Portuguese family open to new cultures.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our space is 1km from the city of Caldas da Rainha, a city with a lot of culture and art! In our space we gather with some regularity meetings of family and friends. What an excellent way to get to know the Portuguese language and culture through gastronomy and conviviality! In the summer we organize bonfire nights with music and conviviality for friends and family! We live close to the best beaches in the country such as Foz do Arelho, Peniche and Baleal (world famous for surfing).

Help
We welcome volunteers who are motivated, interested and curious about collaborating with the vegetable garden and gardening:
- in the preparation of beds in our vegetable garden;
-create an irrigation system;
- take care of baby trees;
-clear the spaces in the forest.
-help with land clearing machines. plant and sow
Construction:
-Someone with knowledge or curiosity in building a dry bathroom;
-Rebuild our greenhouse; -Make small arrangements in the wooden constructions already started;
-Construction of a mobile chicken coop
Taking care of animals, some maintenance care for the space around the house, cooking and bringing magic through art are welcome.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in tents, close to a conventional toilet and hot shower, where you can also cook your meals. We offer tents, mattresses and bedding for your stay

In free time, the volunteer can enjoy a walk in the city of Caldas da Rainha and Óbidos and participate in some cultural activities in the region. A spa town with a lot of history, a beautiful park and a square full of fresh products. You can enjoy the beach during the bathing season, there is a free bus that takes passengers from the city of Caldas da Rainha to the beach at Foz do Arelho. And enjoy bike rides around the region.
