Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
My father is a passionate farmer and I help him during 4 months, (part of the fall and winter) His knowledge and the local activities are indeed a very rich & cultural exchange. Spanish practice, sharing time with our family when they visit from Guadalajara, good food (traditional mexican & international fusion) and enjoying the "pajaretes" gathering with the farmers, listening to their stories and exchanging seeds, before starting to work. *Part winter, when I am at the farm , I cook vegan food, practice pilates, mindfulness, art, food tastings.
Help
Gardening, watering 50+ lemon trees, some other fruit trees, peppers. Keeping up the herbs/ aromatics garden , building a chicken coop, painting and general maintenance is our constant. Welcome to cook as well!

Tent outdoors and/or inside the greenhouse. There is a small bungalow with a room available with its own private bathroom. If you prefer the bedroom, with your help we can organize it :)
What else ...
This is situated in a very convenient location, in the town of Cedros, (which is within the Ixtlahuacan de los Membrillos municipality). 18 km from the international airport, 15 minutes from Chapala/Ajijic. The farm is on the main road, coming from the highway to the mountains. Locals walk often both directions. The bus stops 300mts from the farm, to visit Ajijic, Jocotepec, Mezcala, Cajititlan, to enjoy various activities and towns around the lake. There are several festivities and places to enjoy. Also visiting Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Tonala by bus. We will be happy to organize and take you when we go to any of those places.
