  • Description

This is a family brand of organic cosmetics. We produce natural perfumes, hydrolats, lip balms and other skin care products using local herbs, clay and other natural sources found in the Altai mountains in Russia.
We sell our products through our store located just at the same site. The store is combined with our museum made for eco-educational purposes where we provide aroma-excursions. So, we live, produce, exhibit and sell in the same place, mainly for tourists.

We have guest rooms for volunteers and co-workers (usually friends) who enjoy staying at one of the most pittoresque places of Altai. Our settlement Verkh-Uimon is also famous for its museums and history as it was founded by Old-Believers two centuries ago. A century ago the renowned Central-Asian Expedition of Nicholas Roerichs spent here two weeks doing important research work. So, many of the tourists come again and again to the museums and they visit us, as well, to buy our products and to look at the exhibition we provide for them.

Our Uimon Valley is located very close to the highest Siberian peak Mount Belukha which attracts thousands of tourists each year. The legendary river Katun flows through the valley not far from our village. Moreover, you can see Belukha's peaks and other marvelous ranges of mountains just from the valley.

The hosts' names are Elena and Igor. Our native language is Russian. Elena is a teacher of English, French and music. Igor is an orientalist, specialising in history and Japanese culture. We are always looking forward to new friends and we'll definitely find a comon language with you!

The more detailed information about both our place and our little company is available on the internet.

Here, we invite volunteers desiring to experience life in the Altai mountains close to the pristine nature.

  • Help

    What will you do?

    - collect herbs
    - assist in making cosmetics products
    - sell different local products (cosmetics, handicraft, etc.)
    - look after the garden and our unique rose plantation

It is also desirable to help with some construction processes (not heavy) and to keep the territory clean as it is attended by numerous people, especially the shop and the garden.

Working with public (making and selling products) demands a high quality and a fair attitude. You can learn a lot just on place if you have accuracy, punctuality and fair-dealing.

We admit a great range of help. We stay opened to new possibilities coming with new people. So, your turn to propose!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We've been living at this place for almost 10 years. Everything was done with our hands from zero: all the buildings, the garden and the rose plantation. Every year we host lots of guests. Many of them come again and again.
There is so much to do in your free time: our Uimon Valley is full of interesting sights, both natural and cultural - all of extreme beauty. You can climb the mountains and hills nearby. You can enjoy not only walking outdoors, but also taking photos and capturing fascinating landscapes. You can participate in cultural life of our community, which is very variable in summer. And you can spend your time with new friends!
