When free, the beach is our doorstep to explore, as are forests, rolling hills and valleys. There are a host of hikes in the area to explore, and one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world. There are regular uncrowded (just us) waves 500m away. Chill in the hammock, meet interesting people and make new friends.
There are small little “spaza shops” in the area, else our nearest reasonable shops are 20km away, or Mthatha is 100km away. The backpackers goes shopping once week, if you need supplies.
