I've stayed with Catherine for a month (june/24) and she took me at very short notice. She is a very hard worker and we both worked in her garden to clean it out, as the grass, nettles and raspberries had grown wildely.

We went along very well. Her knowledge, culture, energy, caring for children, attention to the needs of the workaways are remarkable and special.
She is into healthy food, and her salads are very tasty : )
Thank you for everything!
Good luck on your way, in the changes that are waiting to happen and in the discoveries that are yet to be revealed.

I couldn't stay long in this workaway due to personal problems but two weeks were enough to meet Catherine very well. Catherine is an intelligent and cultivated woman with very personal points of view about the reality of the world. She has an interesting conversation about various historical aspects of Ireland's past and present, and I was delighted to listen to her. Also, she plays the guitar and has a nice voice.
The B&B activity that she ran at home
… read more sometimes stressed her out, when too much work piled up and that could alter her mood a bit.
I spent two weeks in her house and during this time I worked in the large garden that surrounds the whole house. "Blacky", a sweet sheepdog of a Catherine's neighbour, was with me most of the time. I amused him by throwing a stick far into the grass, which the marvellous animal tirelessly brought me again and again and deposited at my feet.
It is a very quiet place in the countryside where you can only hear the birds singing, sheep bleating from a nearby farm and the few cars that pass from time to time on the road.
Thank you, Catherine, for taking me to see the ancient Tara Hill, about 4,000 years old (Ráith na Rig). Visiting places like this is the main reason I wander around on Workaway. Thank you very much. And of course for the delicious ice cream you offered me on the way home.
Take care!

What an unforgettable month!! How can I begin... with you, Catherine, even I’ve been introduced to traditional Irish ceiles and I danced!! Really unexpected for me... Please give greets from me to your sisters; Lucy; Brenda; Simon, Andreina, Matías, Tomás and Isabel (they were lovely with me!!) and Dubheasa and her rats. And very specially to Carma and Matheew, I passed an amazing weekend with them, but apart from that, they make me feel like a friend in their home, and with their friends too. Please I want you to repeat them they are invited to my home when they want, to be their guide in my land. And obviously you too, to be your guide in Barcelona.
