Description
We are a rural hostel. We are located in the South of Colombia, in the country side of the city of Pitalito - Huila (about just 4 km away), and near about 1 hour of the famous town of San Agustín. Pitalito is one of the main cities of the southern part of Colombia and the biggest producer of coffee of all the country, and located in the vertex between the the Central and Eastern Andina Cordilleras, and have a very privileged tropical weather. We receive volunteers from all countries around the world, and they may have great chances to learn Spanish and work for the improvement and sustainability of the natural environment. We expect all the volunteers will enjoy in different ways their housing in our Finca Hostal.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers will get special benefits from the exchange of cultural contact with the kind and creative Colombian people and enjoyment of our Colombian natural tropical environment. Volunteers may learn Spanish fast and share their own culture with us. We expect you will want to return again.

Help
We are a big country hostel and there are many things to learn, do an make.
We expect volunteers will help us in ecological and self-sustainable farming tasks, related with agriculture, coffee growing, gardening, vegetable garden, livestock, and perhaps in customer service, according to their own decision.

Accommodation
Country Hostal. Volunteers will stay in a shared room including private bathroom, toilet and washbasin. The room is very spacious, and have a smart TV (with digital TV and Netflix), a chiffonier, ceramic floor, wifi and bunk beds.
Our own workers clean the room weekly. However, we expect the volunteers will try to keep the room clean.
The Hostal has various social areas with hammocks, chairs and tables.
We have a social room, a vegetable garden, a milking room, two kitchens, a washer machines room, a coffee shop, a ping pong table, etc. Volunteers will be able to learn, cook, and taste our own local food and share about their own food too. Our local people enjoy much about the foreign food dishes.
What else ...
There are many sites to visit including enjoying of the beauty and resources of the Central and Eastern Cordilleras. We are 1 hour away from the Archeological Park of the San Agustín. You can practice speaking Spanish with local people. There are many natural and touristic locations to visit.
