Description
We're Helen and Mark and we live on a small village in the Scottish Highlands. We live here with our two children, aged 5 and 3 years old.
We are a lively family always on the move, hillwalking, climbing, making things from scratch and hosting visitors in our soon to be guests house.
Mark and I are always onboard of new projects around the house, and in our free time, we love interacting with new people, nice food and going on wee adventures locally.
This is an unpaid position, but accommodation and food to cook will be provided in exchange for childcare help. Happy to discuss this further with potential helpers.Types of help and learning opportunities

We want this helper to become and active member of our family. We can help you learn English and Spanish.
This area is well known for its wild nature and landscape so if you like running, climbing, hill walking, wild swimming, kayaking and wild camping then this is a place to be.
The town is small but have a good number of pubs and a cinema. Glasgow and Edinburgh are within 3 hours drive so you can easily come and go. The west coast is a totally must to see area and by far the most beautiful of Scotland’s coastlines.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Detached house in the centre of the village with local buses and train station. We can offer free accommodation in the form of a double bedroom and shared bathroom.
What else ...
Free things to do are wild swimming, running, hill walking and if you are brave enough mountain biking where some of the best downhills trails exist and in fact where the world cup downhill mountain festival takes place every year in the summer.
Visiting old castles and ruins is also another activity you can do or if you are a city lover then the train to Glasgow or Edinburgh or Inverness will take you there in less than 3 hours approx.
We love travelling and exchanging whatever we have to offer. We enjoy food, a nice dinner and films. We expect our helper to be caring and enjoy being with the children, a person that loves being around others and is able to help when needed.
Thanks
