    Hello!
We are an easy going couple with a awesome small dog that loves going to the beach! We are in a small town that is a 40 minute ferry ride from Vancouver. We have a large property with lots of trees and it backs onto a large wooded ravine with a few old growth trees. We get visited regularly by deer! We are about a 2 minute walk to the beach and you can walk to small shops (vintage clothing, homemade Gelato and a brew pub) and restaurants two blocks away. Its a great location. Private and quiet.

We have a private space for workawarers so you can chill out on your own. We are behind in our house/property maintenance and haven't been able to keep up. We wanted to do some painting touch ups, repairs, power washing ect. A little of this and that mostly outside I would suspect until we need to do something inside if it rains .Painting touch ups mostly. The odd walk with the dog? All and any help would be greatly appreciated! We are behind on a lot of house projects and that's what we need help with as we are getting older and aren't getting as much done as we used to! Hedge trimming, yard maintenance, painting touch ups, power washing,

Generally we do projects on the weekends so days off would likely be midweek. We also like good food but we aren't so good with vegan meals as a daily thing. We love meeting new people and look forward to sharing our little place with you in our fabulous little town! Best drinking water ever!
Get in touch if you want so we can share more details to see if this could work, We have only had one workawayer before and it was a wonderful experience! Thank you,
    Sunny

We live in coastal British Columbia just steps away from the beach and walking distance from the wharf and restaurants and shops. You would not need a car to enjoy this seaside little town. You would likely experience seeing some wildlife like a bald eagle, deer and possibly a bear. (We steer clear of the bear and he likes to stay clear of us but we see him now and then.) We also are lucky enough to be around owls and hear them mostly in the late summer. You will likely easily see seals and otters in the ocean and if you are lucky you might see a killer whale. Our town is friendly also so if you are looking for a coastal Canadian experience I would have to say this is pretty good scenario.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are lots of beaches and hiking trails to explore and we are walking distance to some nice restaurants cafes and pubs. We are also close to Vancouver by taking a 40 minute ferry ride. You can go into Vancouver in the morning and come back later in the day.
As far as getting along with us; we are pretty easy going. We like the outdoors, cycling, boating, kayaking and camping and traveling. We are in our early 60's. We expect that someone who is visiting us be quiet, respectful and friendly and of course someone who likes dogs !
