This is an Eco-Retreat, Educational Facility & Cultural Hub, located on a beautiful river in the Byron Bay Hinterland. We are creating a sustainable model of living, that we share by hosting conscious retreats, courses and events.
We have Permaculture gardens that supply most of our fresh produce; 120 solar panels generate electricity for us; and we gather all our own water. We also have a music studio on site, and have several musicians who live here when they're not touring. We host live music events from time to time in our restaurant.
Volunteers staying here are likely to help with ground maintenance, the garden, the kitchen, or cleaning. We are not hosting as many workawayers as we used to, but we always have room for people with special skills, such as electricians, carpenters, or digital marketing specialists.

Travellers can learn about sustainable living, permaculture, and a lot about alternative philosphies.
Volunteers will help in the garden, the kitchen, general maintenance, or cleaning, unless they have a special skill or trade, such as carpentry or online marketing.
We have a minimum age for volunteers of 20, and our minimum stay is 2 weeks.
English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese
Accommodation is in shared cabins. Longer stayers would normally have their own room, as would couples, however sometimes single workawayers may share a room with one other person.
We supply organic veggies and basic supplies, but we don't cook for our volunteers. Sometimes when we are hosting a retreat, it may be possible to eat the food that we prepare for the retreat, but generally, you should be prepared to organise your own food. They would probably be a couple of other people staying in the same accommodation and you could coordinate meals with them.
We don't cook meat here, nor do we accept meat on the property. We also dont have Coca-Cola here or other heavily processed unhealthy foods. We ask that while you stay with us, that you dont bring these things into Paradise.
We receive a lot of requests from workawayers, at busy times several requests every day. Due to this, we accept less than 10% of applications. We spend a lot of time processing applications, so please dont be offended if you dont hear back from us, or if we are unable to host you. The best time to apply is generally about one month before your intended stay.
We're located 15 minutes drive from Byron Bay. There is no public transport around here, but many people hitchhike.
The closest airport to us is Ballina. If you fly into Ballina, we can pick you up there. If you fly into Gold Coast or Brisbane, you can take a bus to Byron Bay, and we can meet you at the bus stop. There are also Greyhound buses that come to Byron Bay from many places.
