    Description

🌻🙂🌻Hi! I'm a woman in my early fifties, and am very lucky to live in a traditional Irish cottage in a quiet spot in beautiful county Clare, just off the "Wild Atlantic Way". I adore daily contact with the biodiversity around me and am trying to live as sustainably as possible.

I live 20 minutes from the beach and within an hour of the cliffs of Moher, Loop Head, Kilkee, Galway, Ennis and Limerick. My place is secluded and very peaceful. Experience has shown me that more mature visitors who have their own transport get the most out of being here. For young people there isn't much social life nearby.
I have a small dog, Nellie.I grow organic food in my polytunnel and vegetable beds. I have my own small woodland, which I manage for wildlife and coppice wood for fuel. My home is tucked away and off the beaten track, away from any traffic noise.

I am very sociable and take good care of visitors. I love to laugh, listen to music and dance and have fun, even whilst I work sometimes. I also like my quiet space at times and respect that you need that too :)

Accommodation is either in my spare room or my cosy caravan which has two double beds, electricity, kettle, toaster, microwave. It isn't easy to get here by public transport, or to get around generally in rural Ireland without a car, but my place is ideal if you have your own transport.
I am looking for people who love being outdoors and wish to live as lightly on the earth as I do. If you are afraid of spiders, dirt or rain, if you would rather switch on the heating than wear a sweater, this definitely isn't the place for you! Wifi is very limited as it only come from a 2 bar mobile signal, with less than 1 Mbps download speeds.

I am active and love to be busy, I have health conditions that prevent me from doing all I'd like to do, which frustrates me. I could really use your help! I would like to welcome you as family and hope you will feel at home. I see all guests as friends, not workers, and hope you will feel that way too. My medical issues present some difficulties around food, so I particularly welcome guests who don't mind preparing their own meals. All ingredients provided, of course!

If interested, do get in touch and I will gladly provide much more info, photos, videos, links etc.

    Hope to hear from you!
    Jude :)

Tasks are varied and never boring! Mainly outdoors but there is plenty indoors to do on rainy days too. I have hundreds of projects in progress! Amongst the tasks are: Sowing, weeding, harvesting and plant care, animal care, mulching and composting, woodwork projects, wood cutting and splitting, repairs and maintenance, painting, food preparation and cooking, light housework. If you have particular skills or experience, or something you would like to learn, I will endeavour to give you opportunities in that area. If you see something that needs doing, don't wait to be asked...just do it like a family member would! :)

Within 1 hour are the towns of Ennis, Kilkee, Kilrush, also many beaches and cliff walks, including the Loop Head peninsula, cliffs of Moher, Lahinch, Spanish Point. Cities of Limerick and Galway are just over an hour away. Public transport is very limited in the countryside. There are a few buses each day, The bus stop is 1.6km away and offers a service to Ennis, Kilrush and Kilkee. If you have your own transport, this is ideal. I can offer lifts to town, shops and the local sightseeing spots.
