    Description

We're looking for a dog sitter, for the week of August 30th to September 5th.

The land is on a gentle slope with a view that on a clear day can see the sea. We have many projects on the land to create more lush and resilient valley where nature can take root and prosper...but there is no necessity to work on them for this week.

For this week of dog sitting, we will provide food and housing, with wifi and relaxing outdoor spaces.

I made the below video after hosting for 3 weeks in May! Ask for the link.

My family is well traveled, with stories to share. evenings can consist of sitting by the fire relaxing, talking &/ dancing. I'm more than sure that lengthy conversations will take place by our fire at night. Memories and biochar is made during these magical times.

If you enjoy beautiful views, nearby hiking trails, and working with the land, you will enjoy it here. We have an olive grove, fruit orchard, hazelnuts, and a wild area we call the enchanted forest! If you have experience with gardening or pruning, we'd love your input. Anything permaculture-esc, I would love to incorporate your ideas into the land. As I am just starting, organisation may be a bit haphazard, but its all part of the process. I want to help you help me help you. I plan to plant many trees in the area to mitigate the effects of summer drought. I will need help with pruning, planting, digging swales, and baking biochar and anything else!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We are in the process of renovating a nearby house. In the early stages, the room in which the guests would stay would be on the bottom floor of where we live, but later on, guests could be hosted in the nearby house. There is hot water with pressure, and the house is insulated. Wifi in most rooms, a bed, indoor and large outdoor area.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

on the property itself, we have a lot of boardgames, books, art supplies, and some cool gadgets. In Viterbo there is a lot to do, and see, which is only a bus or taxi ride away, the town has events, markets, tourists, and historical sights, (some Catch 22 scenes were filmed there) as well as an international community.

    Schizzo (9 years)

A ball of energy, very clever and understands Italian and English. loves playing fetch and with a stick or ball. Likes to be scratched around the ears, and lay in the sun. is a bit squeamish with water, and loud noises.
