  • Description

Located on the island Bornholm in the Baltic Sea we run a permaculture inspired organic farm. We grow lots of different berries, herbs, edible flowers and vegetables and make different products, such as syrups, jams, herbal salts and herbal teas, creams and ointments. Our project is still young (2019 will be the 4th season) and we are still in the establishing phase where we keep growing and planting a variety of perennial edibles, establish trees and shrubs and shape the land so that it eventually will need little effort from our hands.
We make a living by selling our produce and products, e.g. on a farmers marked, and it is important to us to involve others and spread our knowledge through different workshops and events.
Our invaluable helpers are people from all over the world, friends and our bees, chickens and hopefully soon some pigs.
We live in a community in a farmhouse with 6 adults from 3 countries and 2 kids in one of the most beautiful spots of the island surrounded by forest and rich natural life. Apart from us humans there are 2 cows, chickens, 2 cats and a dog. Every evening we eat together and often we hang out together in the evenings or have friends over to visit.

  • Accommodation

We have got different options as to how to accommodate you. You can either stay in our lovely yurt, which can accommodate one or a couple/ friends. You can also pitch your own tent on our camp site or lend camping gear from us- we´ve got plenty including bedding. If you are more of an indoor person, you can get a room at our friends place which is close by (on Krashavevej, the same street we live on - and of course free for charge :-)

Good and healthy food is important to us: and of course all your meals will be provided. We eat a mainly vegetarian diet (most of us are vegans/ vegetarians). Most things we buy organically, if we can in bulk together with others and of course we eat our homegrown veggies, herbs and eggs from our free grange chickens. we share both the fridge (which is usually well- filled) and kitchen. In the evenings there is a common dinner which one of us cooks for everybody - and of course you are very much invited to join in! For breakfast and lunch, everybody helps him/ herself. Here you are free to eat/ drink whatever you find in the kitchen (we´ll introduce you to our system). every week one of us bakes fresh bread and one makes yummy spreads for everybody else- you are welcome to join in or just enjoy the good food :-)
