    Description

    We are an active family that lives in inner city Calgary with a big backyard. A big backyard in the city, and west of the city in the most beautiful part of the Alberta foothills. We like to travel, horseback ride, hike, golf, and we are trying to learn Spanish, and my son is learning German. We have 6 horses (west of the city), and 1 cat. Our kids are 10 & 12 and are playing hockey, soccer, equestrian and gymnastics.

    If you prefer to stay in Calgary we could use help window cleaning, cleaning, painting window sills, gardening, organizing the garage, help hanging Art, handyman chores, organizing the house. If you prefer to be outdoors, we could use help fencing, cleaning the barn, horse chores (for experienced horse people), staining a cabin in the woods. Building small carpentry projects.

    Accommodation is a basement bedroom with a queen size bed, and private ensuite with shower. Laundry machines adjacent. A TV, fireplace, craftspace, and exercise space complete the basement.
    Home is a heritage home in an established district walkable to downtown. Food will be as we do, help yourself to your own breakfast and then join us for supper where we will have Alberta organic beef from our ranch, or other simple favorites, with lots of maple syrup.

    We are walkable to the Stampede grounds (1/2 hr), we are within the scooter zone, walk to 100's of restaurants of every ethnic possibility. We are essentially on Calgary's pathway network where you can enjoy trails to the Zoo, Prince's Island Park, the Bow River, McHugh Bluff, Stanley Park. Kensington is nearby and has all amenities and access to the rail transit system.
