Description
Greetings!
Thank you for checking us out! We are Franzi and Dylan a young family with 2 awesome kids (Luna 7, Leon 5)
We have recently purchased a new home in the falls near Tatamagouche. We still operate a small farm closer to Dartmouth, so it is mostly myself (Dylan) and children (half the time) who will be in the falls pioneering the new property.
(Yes they call it that because of all the waterfalls!) The home is completed and lovely (minus some of the furnishings) and we are renovating the garage into guest rooms currently. This renovation is to allows for more future guests, but we have 3 existing bedrooms at our disposal, one of which is for a workawayer. We are still piecing together furniture, but have a place to sleep for workers and all the basics. The house is not listed on Bnb and does not have paying guests. It is a home we aspire to move to permanently in the future, We will also construct outdoor enclosures for animals and many other interesting DIY projects.
We operate 2 businesses (roofing business and bakery) and have other properties, so in addition to the kids, as you can imagine we are very busy! -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Dylan grew up in Tatamagouche which is a sweet little town trapped in time, so you no doubt you will pick up on the caring small town feel of the area.
Definitely can learn some basic construction principles if you have none! -
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
Sure, we are just setting up at this new home so some tasks would be; Organizing tools, painting, basic carpentry, cutting grass, gardening etc.
Also child care is a big one; taking kids to the beach, preparing meals, applying band-aids, picking off ticks, cleaning up, snuggling, playing hide and seek, reading etc etc.
You don't need to do it all, we will see what you like doing and see if it's a fit! -
