1. About Us:
We are a multicultural Italian-Senegalese family living in Enna, a picturesque town in the heart of Sicily. I’m a mother of two—a 7-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old son. I teach Chinese and English, and at home, we speak Italian, English, and a bit of French.
Having lived in Shanghai and Dakar, we deeply value cultural diversity. Our home blends Sicilian, Chinese, and Senegalese cultures, and we love to share the lessons, flavors, and traditions from these experiences.
We enjoy a calm and creative lifestyle, encouraging activities like reading, exploring nature, arts and crafts, and limiting screen time. We’re looking for a volunteer to help our children improve their English/French in an interactive and enjoyable way. No teaching experience is required—just a love for kids and a willingness to share your culture.
2. About Enna:
Enna, known as the “Belvedere of Sicily,” is a peaceful town with breathtaking views and rich history. It offers cultural attractions like the Castello di Lombardia, Torre di Federico II, and Lago di Pergusa, perfect for nature lovers. While Enna doesn’t have nightlife or beaches, it is centrally located, making it an excellent base to explore other cities like Catania, Palermo, and Ragusa. Renting a car provides access to southern Sicily’s stunning coastline.
You’re also welcome to join us on family trips around Sicily, where we visit historical landmarks, go hiking and relax in scenic coastal areas.
3. What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who can join our family and daily routine:
• A reliable, caring, and positive person who will inspire and enrich our kids
• Someone open to helping with light household tasks, such as cooking or cleaning
• A volunteer eager to share their culture while embracing ours, creating a meaningful exchange
• Available for at least a 1-month stay (longer stays are highly encouraged)
If you’re excited about the idea of sharing your culture, language, and positivity while exploring ours, we’d love to welcome you into our home!Types of help and learning opportunities

You’ll help our children practice English or French while also having the chance to learn some Chinese, which I teach. Join us in the kitchen to cook Sicilian, Senegalese, or Chinese dishes, and take part in local festivals and family activities or outdoor adventures.
We look forward to sharing our cultures and learning from yours, creating a meaningful exchange for all.Au Pair Help

Help
We’re looking for a warm, creative, and enthusiastic volunteer who enjoys spending time with children and being part of a family. Your main role will be to engage with our children through play, storytelling, and conversation, helping them improve their English or French in a natural and fun way. You might also join them in activities like arts and crafts, baking, or outdoor games, bringing your unique ideas to make learning interactive.
We’d also appreciate your help with everyday household tasks, such as:
• Assisting with meal preparation during breakfast or dinner, while lunch is free time for you to enjoy as you like
• Tidying and organizing shared spaces
• Picking up or accompanying the children to school or their afternoon activities
• Setting the table, clearing up after meals, and loading/unloading the dishwasher
• Running small errands, like grocery shopping (at our expense, following a Mediterranean diet—we cannot accommodate vegan or vegetarian diets, sorry!)
We value flexibility, a positive attitude, and a willingness to collaborate, making this experience meaningful and enjoyable for everyone!Languages
