  Located outside the village of Martinville, on a dirt road, the house with no neighbors within a 2 km radius, is surrounded by woods. The shelter's way of life is to help Canadian wildlife, victims of human impact, we welcome farm animals in need and we offer a roof to Nordic dogs and domestic animals.
  
  At the shelter, the tasks are quite varied, everything depends on the season;
  
  Spring (April - May - June):
  Is a big season with the arrival of all the orphans, survivors of the Canadian Wildlife.
  So the goal of our work is mainly to bottle-feed the little ones and also to take care of our permanent residents and walk the dogs daily, it is also the time to do the rewilding of the wild animals that spent the winter with us.
  
  In summer (July - August - September);
  This is the time when we welcome all kinds of wildlife or farm animals.
  The daily tasks are to walk the dogs and take care of the domestic animals and the farm of the shelter (brush, feed, cuddle, enrich), it is also the time when we work the garden, harvest medicinal plants to make lotions for the care of animals in general.
  We also walk to find treasures in the forest and make possible jewelry. Sometimes they are also enclosures that we have to build or repair.
  
  In autumn (October - November);
  This is the season when we finish preparing the animals for winter and we make jewelry with all the finds made in nature.
  This is also the time to finish some harvests and prepare some foods for the cold season.
  
  In winter (December - January - February - March);
  This is the season when you have to look after the animals to keep them warm, and look after wild, farm and domestic animals. Domestic dogs need to be walked every day.
  
  Otherwise you will do the other tasks of the refuge; Maintaining the enclosures, walking, brushing, feeding etc.
  
  In free time, you also have to create jewelry from the resources of the forest found in summer.
  
  In short, the refuge is a universe where you never get bored! Constantly learning!

  Situé à l'extérieur du village Martinville, sur un chemin de terre, le refuge sans voisin sur un rayon de 2 km, est entourée de boisée. Le mode de vie du refuge est de venir en aide aux animaux de la faune sauvage canadienne, victime de l'impact humain, nous acceullions des animaux de la ferme dans le besoin et nous offrons un toit aux chiens nordiques et aux animaux domestiques.
  
  Au refuge les tâches sont assez variées, tout dépend de la saison;
  
  Le printemps (avril - mai - juin) :
  Est une grosse saison avec l'arrivée de tout les orphelins, rescapés de la Faune Sauvage Canadienne.
  Donc le but de notre travail consiste principalement à biberronner les petits et aussi de prendre soins de nos résidents permanents et de marcher les chiens quotidiennement, c'est aussi le moment de faire les remises en nature des animaux sauvages qui ont passé l'hiver avec nous.
  
  En été (juillet - aout - septembre);
  C'est le temps où on fait l'acceuil de toute sorte d'animaux de la faune ou de la ferme.
  Les tâches quotidiennes sont de marcher les chiens et s'occuper des animaux domestiques et de la ferme du refuge (brosser, nourrir, câliner, enrichir), c'est aussi le moment ou on travail le jardin, récoltons des plantes médicinales pour en faire des lotions pour les soins des animaux en général.
  On fait aussi de la marche afin de trouver des trésor dans la forêt et en faire d'éventuel bijoux. Certaines fois ce sont aussi des enclos que nous devons construire ou réparer.
  
  En automne (octobre - novembre) ;
  C'est la saison où on termine les préparatifs des animaux pour l'hiver et on fait des bijoux avec toutes les trouvailles faites en nature.
  C'est aussi le moment de terminer certaines récoltes et de préparer certains aliments pour la saison froide.
  
  En hiver (décembre- janvier- février - mars) ;
  C'est la saison où il faut veiller sur les animaux pour les garder au chaud, s'occuper des animaux sauvages, de la ferme et domestiques. Il faut marcher les chiens domestiques à tout les jours.
  
  Par temps libre, ils faut aussi créer des bijoux à partir des ressources de la forêt trouvé en été.
  
  Bref le refuge est un univers ou ont s'ennuie jamais ! En constante apprentissage !

  Help

  Summer: Mainly, the shelter needs help to take care of the animals in general and do some farm tasks.
  Workawayers have an important job in direct contact with the animals, in addition to participating in the daily maintenance of the enclosures in general. Then it's taking care of the garden and the harvests.
  
  Winter: We continue to look after the animals in general and maintain the paddocks.
  
  Spring: it is the bottle-feeding of the orphans (wild animals) and the release of the animals that spent the winter at the shelter.
  
  Summer: it is the maintenance of the animals, the harvests, the garden etc ...
  
  Fall: we prepare for the winter and for the wintering of the wild animals.

  Été : Principalement, le refuge a besoin d'aide pour prendre soins des animaux en général et faire certaines tâche de la ferme.
  Les workawayer ont un important travail en contact direct avec les animaux, en plus de participer à l'entretient au quotidien des enclos en général. Ensuite c'est s'occuper du jardin, et des récoltes.
  
  Hiver : On continue de prendre soins des animaux en général et l'entretient des enclos.
  
  Printemps : c'est le biberonnage des orphelins (animaux sauvages) et les relâches des animaux qui ont passé l'hiver au refuge.
  
  Été : c'est l'entretient des animaux, les récoltes, le jardin etc...
  
  Automne: on se prépare pour l'hiver et pour l'hivernage des animaux sauvages.
  
  Qualitées du voyageur nécessaire : Être débrouillard, être en bonne forme physique, être capable de prendre des initiatives, Être flexible sur les tâches à faire selon le besoin du moment, avoir des idées d'améliorations et être proactif !

  Accommodation

  Workawayers live like campers! Lodged outside with no services. Water comes from the rain, the shower is outside and most of the food is donated to avoid food waste. The volunteers' corner is shared between them. Outside kitchen.

  Les workawayer vivent en mini camper ! Logé à l'extérieur sans service. L'eau vient de la pluie, la douche est à l'extérieur et la nourriture sont des dons pour la plupart que nous recevons par soucil d'éviter le gaspillage allimentaire.
  
  Le coin des bénévoles est partagé entre eux. Cuisine extérieure.

  Twice a week I will drop you off in Sherbrooke, from where you can take public transport (bus) to have fun in nature, in restaurants, at the cinema, at the museum, or to discover the city and its green areas.

  Deux fois par semaine il vous sera possible que je vous dépose à Sherbrooke, à partir de où vous pouvez prendre le transport en commun (autobus) pour aller vous divertir en nature, dans les resto, au cinéma, au musée, découvrir la ville et ses zones vertes.
