Description
We live in the Dordogne region in France, one of the most beautiful parts of the world! Our dog Taiko is 4 years old and our cat Pouka is 5yo. They are both affectionate and love caresses. We are located in the village on a fairly large, fenced-in block. The village has a good restaurant (2 mins walk) and shops and other businesses are about 5kms away. We are 30 mins from Bergerac and Perigueux and the closest train station is a 40 minute walk.
We’ll gladly leave you some basics in terms of food, condiments etc.

There are markets about 5 kms away every Tuesday and Saturday morning, with one of the best markets in the area 12km away (on a Thursday). In summer, there are many village festivals in the area, canoeing (5kms), and « Voie Verte » cycling and walking path along the River Isle. There are also many walking trails as our village is on the Camino/Chemin de Compostelle path.
A local association based in the village has activities throughout the year, from escape games in a nearby chateau to pizza and board game nights, film events, as well as a distribution point for local producers and a co-working space. Also a French-English coffee morning in the local library once a month.
Help
Taiko needs a walk everyday - there are woods just behind us including many great hiking trails. In summer, some watering of the garden would be needed. The cat is fairly independent but does love cuddles too!
