    Description

Hi Everyone! we are a multicultural family living near Turin, in the Piedmont region. My name is Carolina, I'm Venezuelan and my husband Stefano is Italian. We live in a 4000m2 property in the countryside of Turin, surrounded by nature with beautiful view of the mountains, but still close to the city and what it has to offer. My in laws live in an apartment above our home and my sister and teenage niece live near by and frequently visit, we are very family oriented household and would love to host someone that wants to experience family life in Italy. We do not have any small children, but we have 3 big dogs (Italian Maremma Sheep Dogs) a cat and sometines chickens, so if you'd like to stay with us you need to be a big animal lover. We would be happy to spend time with you! We work during the week but we would eat dinner toghether, try to show you the beauty of the region as much a we can and help you plan trips if you need a hand. We are not able to provide a car but we do have a bike that you can use to visit small towns around the area or just enjoy nature and the surroundigs. At home we speak fluent Italian, Spanish and English and I speak Intermidiate Portughese and a little bit of French (would love to practice if you speak french!) There's always someone home, so you wouldn't be alone :)

We are a SMOKE FREE home and some family members are allergic, so unfortunately we are not able to host smokers.

Turin is about 30min away from our home, reachable by train that arrives right in the city center. It is a gorgeous historic city with so many interesting things to see and visit: museums, royal palaces, churches, etc. If you like art, architecture or history, you'll love Turin. If you like nature, you can enjoy lakes, rivers and nearby mountains in the region. Milan is a couple of hours away by train as well, so it makes a great day trip!. Italian food is exceptional and if you are a foodie,we can surely help you discover dishes from our gastronomy that you have never heard about. At home we are fluent in Italian, Spanish and English, so we can help you with learning/practicing any of these languages. We would love for this exchange to become a great friendship.

Althoug at the moment we are no longer engaged in any home renovations, we've loved our experience with Workaway so far and we'd love to continue hosting. We haven't hosted many workawayers but the few we have have turned into beautiful real friendships.

I'm a big language lover, so I would love to host language teachers. I'm open to learning any new language and would love to improve my French and Portuguese. I'm very much always open for a good conversation and am very curious about other cultures and how life goes on in other countries.

With 4 pets and full time jobs, there's alwas something to do, so we'd appreciate light help around the house and depending on the season, maybe also around the garden. If you are comfortable cooking that's a big plus, we'd love to try food from your country and cook you some venezuelan/italian meals as well.

If you are looking for just a place to stay and are not interested in any human exchange, we are not the hosts for you. We're very friendly and are hoping to keep making new friendships along the way.

Our town is very small but the nearest train station is 8km away. You can reach Turin in 30 min. We live in a natural park area where you can go for great walks. Nearby there’s also a pool club open during the summer where one can pay a daily entrance fee and enjoy a refreshing day in the pool.
