Hi, I'm Kimberly, an American entrepreneur and writer, making my home here in the beautiful and exotic village of Nazlet Samman, Giza, Egypt. Together, with my two local Egyptian partners, we are creating Giza's first authentic boutique hotel experience.
Like you, I came as a traveler, having traveled much of the world, but upon arriving in Egypt, I found my soul's home. I have now lived here for almost two years and there is nowhere else on the world where I feel the most like myself. There is a magic here, and it's mostly found within its peoples, the real Egyptians, whose families have for generations built their lives at the feet of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids.
I have traveled as a Workawayer myself, and so I know both sides of the exchange. Creating our Working Guest Volunteer program, I ensured that we made the most of your experience here. We are building an environment where all, staff, volunteers and certainly guests...come first as visitors, leave as friends, but return as family. It is my deep desire that you too, find your magic, here in this place that I love so much! I, and my team of seven staff (and a kaboodle of kittens), look forward to meeting you soon! "Inshallah!"

There is no other place in the world, where I've delighted in the adventure of everyday living more than my life, my home, here in Egypt. Egypt is far more than just pyramids and antiquities, the real treasure is in discovering the magic, and real Egyptian life.
Beyond the valuable hospitality and business experience you will gain from your stay with us as a Working Guest Volunteer, but there are many cultural opportunities surrounding your every moment here. Mere steps to the Great Pyramids and Sphinx, there is always something to discover here!
In addition to the unique culture that is life in Egypt, we will also have ongoing Discovery Events that all our Working Guest Volunteers will be able to benefit and participate in as well for free, when their schedule permits. From rooftop yoga while viewing the pyramids under a velvet blanket of stars and the moon, to have a cooking class to learn authentic Egyptian recipes, in your month's time with us, you will find many opportunities to expand your mind and experiences with.
The Great Pyramids hold a special magic for the world, and at our little piece of heaven, Giza's first authentic boutique hotel (opening Winter 2019), we hope to create magic too! Beyond the art, design, and lifestyle of our boutique hotel stay, personalized, "above-and-beyond, expect the unexpected" service is one of our key, unique selling points. And YOU, make a part of that magic happen!
From tending our verdant gardens and restorative saltwater swimming pool, to helping generously attend to and appoint our individually styled boutique rooms, or rolling out the proverbial red (Egyptian carpet, of course) carpet for our guests, we need your expertise and passions.
Our process is to hire only the BEST! English speaking is a MUST. Additional languages are a definite plus. We start with reviewing your application (a more exhaustive one will be provided, along with a complete job description for the open roles). All applicants will be interviewed via Skype or Zoom and an offer to enter our Working Guest Volunteer program will be extended to you, and your service scheduled if accepted by all parties.
Please accept our apologies if we do not respond to your inquiry as we receive 5-10 per day and only respond to applicants who meet our criteria for openings/dates we have a need.
We offer modern hostel accommodations in one of two air-conditioned hostel dorms - one for four (4) males, one for four (4) females. There are two in each dorm for volunteer staff. In addition, you will be provided during your stay as needed any additional long-term storage of your items outside the dorm for your convenience and security.
Please accept our apologies, in that out of respect to the local culture, we cannot accept Working Guest Volunteers as couples.
In addition, you will be provided breakfast and lunch daily from our chef staff menu offerings. Lastly, we will of course provide you free private transportation to/from the Cairo or Giza airports upon your arrival/return.
We will gladly help you organize your free time so that you can make the most out of your time in Egypt.
