    Description

We are a family with four children (ages 5 to 16). Healthy and loving relationships between family members are important to us, so our home is usually filled with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
After living in communities that we helped to build, we are now living as a family in a house in the charming village of Bad Belzig.

We have a strong interest in environmental issues and in technical as well as social solutions for the challenges of the modern world. Our kitchen is vegetarian, and the meals we cook are mainly vegan.
We have renovated the house ecologically — both outside and partly inside — and there is still some work to do.

We would love your help with our building projects, in the garden, with cleaning, or in the kitchen. And if you get along well with our kids, you’re very welcome to spend time with them and give us a hand with childcare too. We’ll make sure you don’t work more than 20 hours a week, so there’s plenty of time to relaxe and explore the surroundings. We’re happy to coordinate tasks and working times according to your needs.

    We can offer:

-2–3 days off (or other arrangements if you prefer)

    - a kind and welcoming family as your hosts

    - mostly organic vegan/vegetarian food

    - your own room

    - a bike

Of course, we’re always here for your questions and needs, and we’re looking forward to meeting you and learning from each other.
Still, you will have plenty of time on your own, as our time and attention are never quite enough for kids, work, and everything that needs to be done. If you can enjoy this as freedom and time for your own interests, we’re the right place for you. 😊
We’re looking forward to meeting you, learning from each other, and sharing a good time together!

Bad Belzig is a sweet litle town with a nice castle, a thermal bath and a couple of hiking trails in the surrounding. There are lots of interesting communitys in the area as well. Whenever you want to feel the pulse of the capital, you reach the center of Berlin by train in an hour. Johannes is grown there, so get some inside views and tipps from us if you like! Potsdam is even closer and Leipzig is also worth a visit.
