    Description

This is an independent conservation and environmental communication project, developed with our own resources and a high level of professional commitment. We host only one volunteer at a time. Couples, friends, or groups will not be accepted. This position is intended exclusively for individuals who can contribute concrete skills from day one. This is not a learning or training environment. If your main goal is to learn, this program is not suitable for you. We are looking for candidates with proven experience in some of:

    • video editing (Premiere, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve)
    • scientific communication or environmental research
    • social media management and content creation
    • fundraising or project development

    A personal laptop is mandatory.

    Conditions:

    Help schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Office-based work: administrative, research, and content production tasks
Active participation in shared household responsibilities (cleaning, organization, basic cooking)
The program does not include field trips or tourism-related activities. This is not a tourism-oriented exchange. We are not looking for individuals primarily motivated by accommodation, food, or travel experiences. Interest in nature or birds is appreciated, but it is not sufficient without relevant skills and the ability to contribute effectively. We expect responsibility, autonomy, and a genuine commitment to the work. Applications that do not meet these criteria, including those from people applying as a group, will not be considered.

If, after reading this, you feel you truly meet these expectations and can add value to the project, you are welcome to apply.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn more about Peru’s geography, its biodiversity, and the challenges related to environmental conservation. They will also gain insights into the country’s bird species and their importance within ecosystems.

Additionally, they will be involved in processes related to the project’s communication, gaining an understanding of how audiovisual content for environmental education is developed.

They may also have the opportunity to participate, at no cost and subject to availability, in some activities of our other company, including culinary experiences, cooking classes, and pisco tastings.

    Accommodation

Accommodation is provided in a private room within our house, located on the first floor, next to the office area. The room is independent and includes a private bathroom exclusively for the volunteer, as well as access to the kitchen.

Please note that the room is small and can be cold, which is common in many houses in Cusco due to the climate. We provide thick blankets to ensure comfort.

Meals are provided five days per week (Monday to Friday) and include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Weekends are not included, as we understand that volunteers usually use this time to travel, and it is also our only time for family and rest.

Please note that we do not offer vegetarian or vegan meal options.
