    Description

I am a birdwatching guide in Peru . Throughout my years of work, I have had the opportunity to welcome numerous foreign tourists who visit my country, as Peru is considered one of the best birdwatching destinations worldwide.

However, I have noticed that many Peruvians, in general, are not familiar with birds and nature, which has allowed certain environmental issues to escalate, such as river pollution, illegal logging, hunting, wildlife collection, and encroachments on natural areas.

I believe it is important for us, as Peruvians, to become aware of the natural wealth we possess and to take pride in our country. For this reason, in 2021, I decided to create with my Wife the first national birdwatching channel with the understanding that by showcasing the beauty and fragility of nature, we can inspire people to value and protect the environment.

That's why we need a volunteer with his/her computer (1 volunteer at a time), preferably a biologist, naturalist, video editor or someone with a related skills, to assist with tasks such as fundraising, research, or running social media campaigns on scientific topics.

For video editing, we need people with training in editing and knowledge of programs such as After Effects, Premiere, or Davinci.

We are not looking for people who just want food and lodging; we need individuals who are committed to the environment and have relevant knowledge. While volunteers will learn a lot here, this is not an instructional place, and therefore, we are looking for volunteers who will actively contribute to the project. Thank you for understanding.

Our location is in Cusco City, in a nice and safe neighborhood.

Definitely, volunteers will learn a great deal about Peru's geography, nature, and environmental conservation. Additionally, they will gain insights from biologists about Peru's bird species and the most important locations to find them.

Likewise, they will participate in our fieldwork across various destinations within the Cusco region, exploring places like Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, among others. They will have the opportunity to witness astonishing birds and explore areas with breathtaking landscapes.

Moreover, they will also learn about video production.

Furthermore, they will have the chance to take part in our other company's activities for free, including culinary experiences, cooking classes, pisco tastings, and more, as well as yoga and meditation practices.

    Help

Help is required for tasks such as fundraising, research, or running social media campaigns on scientific topics. Researching the market and current trends in conservation, particularly bird conservation activities, is necessary. Generating content about tips and essential information on various bird species is also needed.

For video editing, we need people with skills in editing and knowledge of programs such as After Effects, Premiere, or Davinci or with google and instagram ads for campaigns.

In the case of Japanese travelers, we greatly need your help to translate our bird information into Japanese, as well as to assist us in practicing and improving our basic level of language skills.

During field trips, we need help during the filming of our episodes, including assisting the drone pilot, wildlife cameraman, and main cameraman. Maintenance and cleaning of filming equipment is crucial.

Contributions with GoPro and cell phone photos and videos for behind-the-scenes content are appreciated.
