Hello everyone! My name is Emanuela, and I live in Cefalù, a beautiful seaside town on the northern coast of Sicily. Cefalù is famous for its crystal-clear beaches, its stunning Norman cathedral, delicious Sicilian cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes.
I would love to welcome friendly, open-minded travellers who enjoy nature, meeting new people, and experiencing everyday life in Sicily.
I am looking for help with gardening and general outdoor tasks, such as pruning plants, clearing leaves, keeping the garden tidy, watering, and helping maintain the outdoor spaces. These are light, shared tasks that we can often do together.
In exchange, I offer accommodation in a peaceful setting where you can experience authentic Sicilian life. I enjoy sharing meals, introducing guests to local traditions and food, and recommending beautiful places to visit in the area. If you are interested, I would also be happy to help you practise Italian while learning about your culture and experiences.

We will have plenty of opportunities to connect! I love sharing meals and chatting over a glass of good Sicilian wine or a coffee, exchanging stories about our lives and cultures. Since I live in Cefalù, I can show you the best local spots, hidden beaches, and introduce you to the warm local community. Whether we are cooking together, enjoying the outdoor spaces after a few hours of help, or giving you tips on the best hikes up the 'Rocca', you will definitely feel part of the family and experience the true, authentic Sicilian lifestyle.

I am looking for friendly, reliable and open-minded volunteers who would enjoy sharing everyday life in Sicily while helping me with some light outdoor tasks around my home.
The help mainly involves gardening and general outdoor tasks, such as pruning plants, watering, clearing leaves, keeping the garden tidy, and looking after the outdoor spaces together. These are simple, non-professional tasks that allow us to spend time outdoors and do tasks side by side.
For me, hosting is much more than receiving help. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing meals, exchanging stories and experiences, and introducing my guests to the authentic Sicilian lifestyle. I hope to create a warm, friendly atmosphere where we can learn from each other and build meaningful connections. -

Accommodation
I offer a fully independent apartment for my volunteers. It includes a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and an outdoor area with outdoor furniture where you can relax after the day.

Please note: My property is located in the peaceful hills, about 8 km (a 10-minute drive) from the sea and the center of Cefalù. Because of this beautiful but hilly location, it is essential that you have your own car or scooter (automuniti) to get around comfortably and enjoy your free time

Can possibly accept pets
I love animals and I am happy to welcome volunteers traveling with cats or dogs. However, please note that I already have a 9-year-old female Shepherd dog (cane pastore) living on the property. Because of this, if you want to bring your dog, it is absolutely necessary that they are well-socialized and friendly with other dogs, especially older females.
