Description
Hello, my name is Tom. I am 54 years old, born in Germany and lived most of my life in the Netherlands. Since 4 1/2 year i am living in Portugal and one year ago moved to my own land. I live Off Grid in the middle of nowhere, my food comes mostly from my land, i drink my own water and electricity comes from the solar system. I make natural medicine from the plants i find on and around my land. Maintaining the land is for one person a full time job and leaves little room to make medicine and express my creativity. I made the decision to open my land for volunteers what can help me to maintain the land and also learn how to make natural medicine. I can accommodate up to 3 volunteers. The accommodation and food is included, you will have to work for 15 hours a week and for 5 hours a week you help / learn about making natural medicine. My land is a place for healing and deep connection to the land, the next city (Pernamacor) is 30 min away, one hour away is Castello Branco. I am looking for people who want to stay longer to be more involved with the development on the land and also to learn how to take care of your own health. So it would be great if you can stay for a minimum of 3 or 4 weeks on my farm.
I am a private homestead and are only producing for my own consumption as a Workawayer you won't be helping with any tasks relating to a business.

I would like to keep my land clean from as much pollution as I can.
The water from the sink/shower is going back into the soil,
so use here only biodegradable products that will not harm the garden/us,
That includes: soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc.
If you want to do laundry I have a washing machine, but please use a bio-detergent.
