  • Description

Hi All, ready for a real experience?

We invite you to join us (Jacqueline and Alwart) to grow our permaculture farm in the jungle in Nayarit, Mexico.

We have the passion of becoming fully selfsustainable, and one of our passions is to share the knowledge we have gathered with people interested in the same topic.

At our project we have a few chickens for egg production, we have a pond with tilapia fish, we have more that 30 varieties of fruit trees (some of them are still growing...few years will go until the start fruiting), and we are now working in growing mushrooms, we are stablishing some small scale aquaponics. There is always something fun to work with, combined with other things not as fun like turning the compost or making new piles or remove weeds. To SEE this you can look for us in social media.

We look for people with energy to work and to ask questions, as what we want is that this experience can bring you closer to your nature. We also require people who can live in community and can clean after themselves. You will be asked to help the equivalent of maximum 25 hours per week.

From San Ignacio you can move to San Pancho, Sayulita, Punta de Mita or Puerto Vallarta.

At the farm we have two big projects for which we will be needing volunteers starting in August.

    1. Permaculture Centre: Our aim after October 2020 is to start educational programs in which people can get involved for short stays and mainly learn about permaculture design and sustaible hacks.

That means that we look for now is for a volunteer that can commit to at least 6 months stay. In this way you will be part of the staff in the farm helping with the mantainance of the place and learning everything that we will be teaching.

    2. Earthship inspired restaurant:
For this project you will be doing a lot of physical work and will not be involved in the daily activities in the farm. You will share the volunteer housing but will be expected to work 25 hours per week in the construction of our future restaurant. Digging, shoveling, pounding tires, using power tools, mixing materials, etc will be a part of the list of the tasks you will be doing.
We will make it fun and productive so you also understand why every step is needed.

For this we need people with construction skills or knowledge.

Minimum stay for volunteering in the construction is 5 full weeks (Monday to Friday) A little bit over a month.

f you have any other questions let us know.

There will be plenty of time to interexchange with us, other volunteers or guest in and around the farm. Help on the farm and understand permaculture, spend time in the jungle and enjoy the close by towns like Sayulita and San Pancho that are hot spots for surfing.

Alwart and Jacqueline will also sometimes volunteer at the local kids center giving volleyball training. Volunteers are welcome to join in the trainings and invited to interact with the local kids.
