    Description

Special places need special people! We, a German couple in the fifties, took over end of last year a beautiful place in Asturias, Northern Spain, right in front of the picos de europa and just half an hour from the ocean. Neighbors are far away and the hilly (not to steep for Asturias standard) property is surrounded by big oak trees and little creeks.

What has been a donkey sanctuary is now heading towards a small community of 4-6 people with lots of space, a vegetable garden, own water and electricity supply, shared meals, working and hopefully laughing together. There is lots of ideas and room for creativity, so people joining will be part of the developing process. Two donkeys and a Canadian woman are still around, sharing the place with two horses, four cats, one dog.

So we would love to see people here that have a community approach first and are willing to bring their ideas and projects to be realized here. There are a lot of opportunities with animals (goats, chicken...) and plants growing (mushrooms, hemp, vegetables...) We do have more than hundred apple trees on the property. Asturias is a green paradise! Therefore also a workout in keeping the nettles and brambles low is part of the daily routine.

Minimum stay is supposed to be one month but the longer the better... if the energy between us is and stays a positive and nurturing one. Any nationality is welcome and spanish speaking people are double welcome, since it´s hard to learn the language without the daily need to practice.

You have your own bath and bedroom with a nice view. It's also possible to create your own living space in one corner of the big property if needed. A small city or rather country town with all facilities you need is only 6 km away.

We just changed our diet back to eating meat and fish party because of health issues, but we can easily host vegetarian people and stick to Vegetarian meals for the main meal of the day. Vegan cooking is not an option.

From beginning of february we need helping hands again, so don´t hesitate to apply!
